That trilogy bout ended up being a disastrous night for McGregor, as he lost via TKO due to injury. The former champion broke his leg in the closing seconds of round one.

In November of 2017 at UFC 217 Dillashaw (18-4 MMA) defeated Garbrandt (12-5 MMA) with a second round knockout, reclaiming his UFC Bantamweight Championship. Meeting again in August of 2018 at UFC 227, the result was much the same, Dillashaw finished Garbrandt via first round TKO, defending his crown.

A crowd of over 94,000 people were in attendance to see Tyson Fury defend The Ring and WBC heavyweight titles against Dillian Whyte and in the end, ‘The Gypsy King’ made it look easy before securing a sixth-round knockout win over his rival.
