Michael Bisping: Chris Weidman fight isn’t on the table
It’s been less than a month since Michael Bisping won the UFC middleweight championship. Since knocking out Luke Rockhold in the main event of UFC 199, Bisping has found himself on the receiving end of numerous call-outs from top ranked middleweights.
Former middleweight champion Chris Weidman was one of the first men to call out Bisping given that he was initially slated to fight Luke Rockhold in the main event of UFC 199.
Bisping spoke to Starsport to discuss a fight with Chris Weidman:
“If they (the UFC) came to me and said, ‘Chris Weidman is the guy we want you to fight’ I’d take it in a heartbeat because I’d look at it as a challenge,”
“But they aren’t saying that. I don’t want to speak out of turn because I’ve been told not to yet, but that’s not a fight that’s on the table.”
