UFC Fight Night 112 results: Clay Guida grinds Erik Koch to decision
Tom Taylor - June 25, 2017
The undercard of UFC Fight Night 112, which went down in Oklahoma City on Sunday night, was wrapped up by a lightweight scrap between former featherweights Erik Koch and Clay Guida. It was a vintage win for Guida. For three rounds, the wild-haired veteran set a frenetic pace, repeatedly dragging his foe to the mat, where he battered him with a veritable meteor shower of ground-and-pound. By the time the third round was done, Guida had amassed almost 10 minutes of control on the canvas, and bludgeoned his foe with a whopping 131 strikes – more than enough to earn him a unanimous decision win.

Featherweight contender Jeremy Stephens calls for fight with Clay Guida
Tom Taylor - December 27, 2016
Last month, on the undercard of the massively hyped UFC 205, long-time featherweight contender Jeremy Stephens came up short in a fun fight with former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar. Though he nearly finished his foe with a second-round head-kick, Stephens was outworked for the rest of the fight, culminating in a clear unanimous win for Edgar. With this result, Stephens took a few steps back down the featherweight ladder. He’ll now need a big win against a reputable opponent before he’s talked about as a contender again. He is already on the hunt for that next opponent.
