Of all the negative stories that can surround celebrities, there is still plenty of good and positivity to be spread and shared. And despite his status, Conor McGregor is showing that in full force back home in Ireland.

‘The Notorious’ former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion took to his Facebook page on Thursday to reveal the progress being made for his property development in Ireland that is going to help those in need.

“Back on the site today, it has been a while.
This is my first property development.
We have 8 homes here closing in on finish.
3 bedroom houses, designated for families that currently reside in hotels around the capital, without a home to call their own.
But not for long.
Through the storm comes the sun!
Walking around this land and these homes today, meeting all the neighbors, knowing that soon there will be families living here, creating their own memories, and building back their lives, gives me great pride!
Ireland forever!
Ireland first!
Ireland always!” McGregor’s post read.

For the only Irish UFC champion in promotional history, his last fight came in October 2018 when he challenged Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 for the lightweight title he once called his own.

Unfortunately for McGregor, he would come up short as Nurmagomedov outwrestled him over the course of three and a half rounds before finding the submission (neck crank) win in the fourth round.

Immediately after the fight, the two fighters’ corners got into a small brawl that led to suspensions for each competitor. With McGregor’s having expired this past month, he’s now eligible to return to action whenever he sees fit.

In the always exciting lightweight division, Conor McGregor has no shortages of fun match-ups awaiting him at all times. It just depends on who he finds the most interest in competing against.
