If you don’t own it, don’t treat it as if it were your own unless you’re willing to pay for it.

Those are the thoughts that Platinum Executive Travel had running through their mind after seeing an Instagram post from UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor standing on the hood of one of their Rolls-Royce Wraith rentals, which is believed to be worth around $300,000. McGregor said in the caption of his photo standing on the luxury car, “Liverpool we run your entire city.”

The luxury rental company said that they are assessing the car for any damages and considering if taking legal action is necessary.

A spokesperson for the luxury vehicle rental company that even has chauffeurs that come with the cars commented on “The Notorious” and his Instagram post.

“He is stood on the car acting like it is his own,” said the spokesperson to the Liverpool Echo.

“It is not his own.”

Conor McGregor does have a few very luxurious cars of his own. However, this particular Rolls-Royce is not one of them.

Aleem Iqbal, son of Saleem Iqbal, who runs the luxury rental car company has garnered his own following on social media with flaunting his own cars and riches. Many people commented tagging Aleem in the comments of McGregor’s post noticing it was his car. According to the Liverpool Echo, Aleem commented on McGregor’s Instagram post of him standing on the Rolls Royce saying, “When you own one Conor you can stand on it like Floyd until then you can lose your deposit for standing on mine.”

The spokesperson for Platinum Executive Travel declined to comment on how much McGregor put down for the deposit on the vehicle. However, the spokesperson said that with “the level of disrespect” that was displayed by the UFC lightweight champion, he will no longer be welcomed to book vehicles through this particular luxury car company.

What are your thoughts on the battle between Conor McGregor and Platinum Executive Travel? Was McGregor wrong for standing on the hood of the rental luxury car? Or is the rental company overreacting? Let’s get your opinion in the comment section!
