Conor McGregor opens up on potential rematch with Nate Diaz

At UFC 196, Conor McGregor jumped up two weight classes to fight Nate Diaz at welterweight after UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos withdrew from the bout with a broken foot.

While UFC President Dana White was under the impression that Diaz was training for a triathlon at the time he accepted the bout, Diaz admitted post-fight that was not the case.

Now, over a week following his 2nd round submission loss to Diaz, McGregor spoke to TMZ Sports to open up on a potential rematch with Diaz.

“I think I’d like to see that. It’s one that interests me most certainly,” McGregor told TMZ Sports about a possible Diaz rematch. “You know when I look at the fight, I was winning the fight. I won the first round and a half.

“I’d love to get that one back. We’ll see. We’ll see how it goes. Life is good.”

“I’m real fresh. I’m ready to go again,” McGregor said. “It was a good fight. A hell of a fight. I look forward to coming back with a vengeance.”

Do you think we’ll see a rematch go down between McGregor and Diaz?
