“McGregor on 300 seals the deal.”
While of course nothing has been made official by Dana White and company, Conor McGregor certainly appears to be open to headlining UFC 300.
Adding to the intrigue is the fact that ‘Notorious’ seems to have two willing combatants for the event.
Michael Chandler (23-8 MMA) promptly took to ‘X’ and accepted the challenge:

“I accept 🤝 See you soon @TheNotoriousMMA #ufc300”
Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler have of coursed been linked to fight ever since serving as opposing coaches on Season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter this past Spring.
In addition to ‘Iron’, McGregor’s longtime rival Nate Diaz recently took to ‘X’ with the following tweet, seemingly expressing his interest in a trilogy.

“Real war!”
McGregor and Diaz of course met on two occasions in 2016, with Nate winning their first fight via second-round submission, and Conor edging out their rematch by majority decision in a ‘FOTY’ performance.
While all this sounds exciting, fans will have to play the waiting game to see if ‘Mystic Mac’ actually returns at UFC 300. Dana White has teased a “crazy” main event for the April pay-per-view in Las Vegas, but Conor McGregor is not currently listed on the card.
‘Notorious’ had previously announced that he would be returning to action on June 29 for International Fight Week.
“Ladies and gentlemen, a Happy New Year to you all. I’d like to announce the return date for myself, the Notorious Conor McGregor, for the greatest comeback of all time will take place in Las Vegas for International Fight Week on June 29. The opponent, Michael Chandler. And the weight, Mr. Chandler? 185 pounds (laughs).”
However, those claims were quickly shot down by UFC CEO Dana White:
“Uhh, no,” White said when asked about McGregor fighting on June 29. “If and when Conor is ready to fight, you know we’ll announce it.”
