Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor is once again teasing his comeback to occur at April’s UFC 300 event.

The historic fight card is set to take place on April 13, 2024, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

While the lineup already features a plethora of big fights, including two title bouts, a headliner for the event has yet to come to fruition.

Current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones recently revealed that he was offered the main event spot just a few days ago but was unable to accept as he’s still rehabbing his injuries.

While ‘Bones’ may not be good to go, Conor McGregor is hinting that he will have an announcement regarding UFC 300 during tomorrow night’s Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

The Irishman recently shared the following post on his social media which read: “UFC 300? Super Bowl announcement?”, to which he captioned: “@danawhite ;)”.

Whether or not Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA) is just trolling fight fans remains to be seen, but there is no doubt that his star power would solidify an already stacked UFC 300 event.

The two most obvious options for McGregor’s plausible return fight would come in the form of either Michael Chandler or Nate Diaz.

McGregor and Chandler have of coursed been linked to fight ever since serving as opposing coaches on Season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter this past Spring.

With that said, UFC CEO Dana White recently said that ‘McGregor vs. Chandler’ would not be happening until the fall of 2024, so the odds for UFC 300 seem to favor the Irishman’s longtime nemesis Nate Diaz.

McGregor and Diaz of course met on two occasions in 2016, with Nate winning their first fight via second-round submission, and Conor edging out their rematch by majority decision in a ‘FOTY’ performance.

The current lineup for UFC 300 looks as follows:

  • Justin Gaethje vs. Max Holloway
  • Zhang Weili vs. Yan Xiaonan
  • Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan
  • Jiri Prochazka vs. Aleksandar Rakic
  • Calvin Kattar vs. Aljamain Sterling
  • Holly Holm vs. Kayla Harrison
  • Bobby Green vs. Jim Miller
  • Sodiq Yusuff vs. Diego Lopes
  • Bo Nickal vs. Cody Brundage
  • Jessica Andrade vs. Marina Rodriguez
  • Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Cody Garbrandt

Do you think we will see an official Conor McGregor fight announcement during tomorrow night’s Super Bowl game?
