Conor McGregor’s coach releases statement following big announcement
Tuesday morning Conor McGregor started a whirlwind as he announced his retirement from MMA. While the MMA community speculated as to why McGregor was retiring, UFC President Dana White went on SportsCenter and announced that McGregor had been pulled from UFC 200 for refusing to fulfill his media obligations.
Thursday morning McGregor released a lengthy statement in which he revealed that he is not retired and will be ready to go for UFC 200, however he will not be doing a world tour for UFC 200, and will instead focus on his training. McGregor also pointed out that he got lost in the promoting aspect of fighting before his last fight. Whether or not McGregor fights now is up to the UFC. Will they allow him to fight without doing a world tour?
Now, SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh has taken to Twitter with a statement of his own.
Ur call now. You are the customers. What do you want? Press conferences or fights? Make some noise because we're ready to do the damn thing!
