Conor McGregor’s latest bold declaration
While Conor McGregor has been sidelined ahead of UFC 200, where he was originally slated to fight Nate Diaz in a highly anticipated rematch, that hasn’t prevented McGregor from keeping his name in the headlines.
Although highly unlikely, a potential boxing match between McGregor and famed prizefighter Floyd Mayweather has been rumored for several weeks now, with Mayweather even going as far as to predict that the fight will “absolutely” happen. While Mayweather has praised McGregor’s striking skills, the fight would undoubtably be the toughest test of McGregor’s combat sports career.
While the MMA community is focused on UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil tonight, McGregor has likely stolen the spotlight for himself as he made quite the bold declaration via Twitter.
I run boxing.
