Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor exchanged an unprecedented amount of trash talk ahead of their headline-dominating 2017 boxing match. As this boxing match has gotten smaller and smaller in the rear view mirror, however, the pair’s heated beef seems to have cooled down.

In fact, Floyd Mayweather recently offered Conor McGregor some praise, calling the Irishman a warrior, and warning his UFC 229 opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov not to take him lightly.

“I don’t really have a prediction [for UFC 229] because I’ve never seen the guy fight that’s facing Conor McGregor—from what I know he’s a hell of a guy that’s on the ground—hell of a grappler—and he can wrestle,” Mayweather said of Conor McGregor’s fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov during a recent conversation with TMZ. “But, the fans want to see you stand up and fight. That’s what the fans like to see. But, Conor McGregor, he’s a tough competitor, like I said before Conor McGregor’s not gonna back down from anyone, he’s not scared, he’s a warrior.”

As it turns out, Floyd Mayweather has more than just kind words for his former opponent. He’s also got an invitation. It’s hope that Conor McGregor will come do some training at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas.

“I know that UFC got a training facility but we’d like for him to work out at the Mayweather Boxing Club.”

Conor McGregor lost his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, succumbing to a volley of 10th-round punches. That said, the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion had several strong moments early, to the surprise of his throngs of doubters.
