MMA community reacts to Conor McGregor’s win over Eddie Alvarez

In the main event of UFC 205, Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez stepped into the Octagon for a historic lightweight title fight to cap off an incredible night of fights. It took just moments for McGregor to land his signature left hand shot and drop Alvarez. Alvarez’ heart showed as he immediately popped back up to his feet. Despite that, McGregor continued to land strikes throughout the remainder of the first round. In the second round, McGregor once again came out aggressive and precise as he landed bombs on Alvarez, ultimately landing a 4-punch combination to get the TKO victory, and claim the lightweight championship, becoming the first man to hold two simultaneous UFC championships.

Immediately, Twitter went wild with reactions to the fight, and McGregor making history in the main event of what was a spectacular night of fights.
