Rafael dos Anjos predicts Conor McGregor will "Break like a girl"

While Conor McGregor is currently riding a 15 fight win streak that has seen him finish 6 of his 7 opponents in the Octagon, including Jose Aldo, UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos plans to change that on March 5th at UFC 196. In the build-up leading to their scrap on March 5th, dos Anjos has stated that he doesn’t want to finish McGregor early, but rather would prefer to prolong the fight to put a beating on McGregor.

At the UFC 196 press conference recently Conor McGregor wasn’t pleased with the fight poster for the event. McGregor expressed his dissatisfaction with the UFC’s poster department, saying he would have to go down there to have a conversation with whoever designed the fight poster. UFC President Dana White explained that the reason McGregor’s belt was left out of the poster was due to the fact that he was going up to lightweight to challenge Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight belt, and his featherweight championship wasn’t on the line.

Back at UFC 194 Conor McGregor knocked out Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds. The win was not only the biggest one of McGregor’s career, but also one of the biggest moments in combat sports history. In the wake of the bout McGregor announced that he would be moving up to lightweight to challenge Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC lightweight championship. The bout was booked for UFC 197, which became UFC 196 after Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez pulled out of their main event bout at UFC 196.

At the UFC 196 press conference, Conor McGregor wasn’t too pleased with the promotional poster that was used. The poster in question showed McGregor standing behind dos Anjos, and didn’t include McGregor’s featherweight title belt. Of course McGregor’s title belt wasn’t included because his featherweight championship wasn’t on the line in the fight due to the fact that he was moving up in weight to challenge dos Anjos for the lightweight championship.
