It’s a record that, in many ways, isn’t surprising given the style he’s presented to us all over the years.

Ahead of Tuesday’s first episode of TUF 31, headlined by coaches Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler on ESPN and ESPN+, UFC president Dana White said he was pleased with how the show was filmed. As it has done since 2005, the annual reality television series looks for the next generation of talent to join the UFC roster to become a world champion eventually. Although McGregor, the former UFC multiple-weight world champion, and Chandler, the former UFC lightweight title challenger, have had their fair share of words over the years, White revealed the season’s filming brought out the best in both competitors and how they settled their differences.

UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman has responded to Conor McGregor’s callout. It was recently announced that Coleman would be returning to combat sports for a celebrity boxing match. The 58-year-old last fought professionally in 2010 when he suffered a submission loss to Randy Couture. But, the UFC’s inaugural heavyweight champion has continued to train and coach, and after it was announced he’d be having the boxing match, McGregor showed interest.

In the main event, Sterling scored a split-decision victory over ‘Triple C’. Following the win, he had a face-off with Sean O’Malley in the center of the octagon.

When exactly they do, though, remains to be seen as McGregor prepares to get back in the USADA testing pool.

Nate Diaz claims Khabib Nurmagomedov avoided a rematch with Conor McGregor. Nurmagomedov and McGregor fought in the main event of UFC 229. It was the Irishman’s return to MMA after boxing Floyd Mayweather, while Khabib was looking to defend his 155lbs title for the first time. The build-up was full of trash talk and in the fight, it was Nurmagomedov who won by fourth-round submission.

The Irishman is looking to snap his two-fight losing skid after losing back-to-back fights to Dustin Poirier, while Chandler is also coming off a loss to Poirier.

While McGregor vs. Chandler doesn’t have an official date, UFC President Dana White is hoping to book the fight before the year is out. McGregor recently cleared up his issues with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). He’s expected to reenter the testing pool soon.

The Youtuber-turned boxer will face UFC veteran Nate Diaz on August 5 in Dallas, Texas, but has been vocal in expressing his desire to fight McGregor.

The bout will be Diaz’s first-ever boxing match, but also his first bout since leaving the UFC. The former title challenger famously left the promotion following a submission win over Tony Ferguson last September.

In the third battle between former champions, McGregor broke his leg in the final seconds of round one. Due to the devastating leg injury, he’s been out of action for nearly two years.

After McGregor lost to Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 by fourth-round submission, he claimed his foot was a balloon which many thought was an excuse. Since the loss, he has also doubled down on having suffered a foot injury just three weeks prior to the fight.
