UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier responded after Conor McGregor suggested that the superstar signed up for “a donation, not a debt.” On Sunday night, Poirier made the stunning revelation that Team McGregor had not donated money to his “Good Fight Foundation” as was previously reported. In January, Team McGregor said that $500,000 was on the way to Poirier’s wife Jolie. However, Poirier claimed that the team never received the money, and after taking social media to reveal that, McGregor piped back by confirming that the money was indeed not sent, with the Irishman suggesting that he signed up for “a donation, not a debt.”

Conor McGregor has reacted after Dustin Poirier accused him of not following through on a promised charitable donation following their rematch at UFC 257. McGregor and Poirier collided for a second time on January 24 in Abu Dhabi. The pair had originally met in a featherweight contest at UFC 178, with the Irishman emerging victorious by way of first round knockout.

UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier suggested Team Conor McGregor didn’t follow through with their promise of a charitable donation after UFC 257. Before agreeing to a rematch at UFC 257, both McGregor and Poirier had temporarily discussed a charity MMA fight outside of it, where McGregor was to donate money to Poirier’s “The Good Fight Foundation.” In January, McGregor Sports & Entertainment CEO Alan Geraghty confirmed that Team McGregor made a $500,000 donation. At the time, Team McGregor told MMAjunkie.com they reach out to Poirier’s wife Jolie to transfer the money. However, it appears as though Team Poirier may not have seen the check.

The two rivals met seven years later at lightweight just a few months ago at UFC 257. This time around, Poirier weathered the early storm and stormed back for a second-round knockout win. The trilogy fight figures to be one of the biggest fights in UFC history. For McGregor, it’s another chance to add to his legacy, while for Poirier a win would put him in legend territory. It’s a massive fight and one that is very difficult to predict.

On Wednesday, the promotional superstar took to his social media to take a shot at Usman recently saying that fighting him is “green panty night” to Jorge Masvidal.

That was a massive win for Chandler, and he will return to the Octagon on May 15 when he meets Charles Oliveira in the main event of UFC 262 with the lightweight title on the line. Diaz and Poirier were supposed to meet at UFC 230 in November 2018 but “The Diamond” was forced to pull out with injury. They never ended up meeting, but after Poirier defeated McGregor at UFC 257 in January, Diaz suggested that the fight to make was him against Poirier. However, that fight never happened, either, as McGregor and Poirier will run it back for a third time this summer at UFC 264. Diaz, meanwhile, was recently booked for his comeback fight against Leon Edwards in the co-main event of UFC 262 in May in Houston.

UFC fan favorite Nate Diaz clapped back at promotional superstar Conor McGregor, telling him to “try not to get finished again.” It was revealed on Tuesday evening that Diaz will be returning to the UFC on May 15 at UFC 262 in Houston, Texas when he takes on Leon Edwards in a No. 1 contender fight in the UFC welterweight division. On Wednesday, McGregor took to his social media to suggest that the promotion creates a “McGregor belt” for his upcoming trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July, clearly a jab at the “BMF belt” that Diaz and Jorge Masvidal fought for at UFC 244 in November 2019. That, in turn, led to Diaz taking to his social media and clapping back at McGregor and poking fun at him for getting finished.
