Report: Conor McGregor felt the UFC’s demands were unrealistic
Jonathan Shrager is reporting that Conor McGregor, who was removed from his scheduled UFC 200 main event rematch with Nate Diaz earlier tonight by the UFC, was unhappy with the UFC’s promo plans for the summer’s blockbuster event stating that they were “unrealistic”.
Here is what Jonathan reported on Twitter:
I've just had contact with an immediate family member of #McGregor, and it would appear the retirement tweet is to be taken at face value

#McGregor Update 1/2: Conor confirmed to my source (see earlier tweet) a couple of hours ago that he's retired
— Jønathan Shrager (@JonathanShrager) April 20, 2016
#McGregor Update 2/2: Conor informed my source that the promo tour was unrealistic; not just the presser, it was more like a mini world tour

According to the report, the UFC’s featherweight champion plans on remaining retired as he stated on Twitter earlier today.
