VIDEO | Dana White shuts down Diaz vs. McGregor 3
UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor earned a majority decision victory over bitter rival Nate Diaz at last night’s UFC 202 event in Las Vegas.
Following their epic main event fight, “Mystic Mac” issued a challenge to Diaz asking for a rubber match at 155-pounds.
When Diaz took to the microphone he stated that the only fight he would come back for was a trilogy bout with McGregor, and so it appeared a third fight between McGregor and Diaz was all but set.
However, UFC president Dana White spoke to FOX Sports and shut down the idea that McGregor’s next fight would be a trilogy bout versus Diaz:
Dana White to @MeganOlivi on McGregor vs. Diaz III: 'We're definitely not doing this a 3rd time, right now.' #UFC202 https://t.co/AFoe2yoRnD
