VIDEO | Paulie Malignaggi still pushing for McGregor fight: He’s a con artist and he’s conned all these idiot fans
Former boxing world champion Paulie Malignaggi is still not letting his beef with UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor go.
The two had a couple of sparring sessions together after McGregor’s team asked Malignaggi to help “The Notorious” prepare for his professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather. Their training relationship came to an end after Malignaggi felt he was “exploited” with photos that made him look bad by Conor and his team.
Malignaggi has been campaigning for a boxing match with McGregor ever since he left his training camp and isn’t showing any signs of slowing his campaign down.
In a recent interview with ESNews, Malignaggi said he plans to stay retired unless McGregor accepts a boxing match with him (starting at 1:20 of the video).
“I’ll knock his ass out in front of all his fans,” Malignaggi said of his ideal St. Patrick’s day fight. “That’s what will happen. March 17. We can make it happen. I’ll knock his ass out in front of everybody.”
“Thing about it is, this guy is such a bitch ass, it’s not even that difficult to knock him out. So, I can proudly, and with confidence talk to you that he’s not gonna go 12 rounds. He’s such a p*ssy you just gotta make the fight tough on him. You don’t even have to hit him hard. You just gotta make it tough. He’ll look for the first window to jump out of.
“This is combat sports’ biggest p*ssy. He’s the biggest poser and actor there is in combat sports. I’ve seen him face-to-face. I’ve watched him even in his fights. He is the biggest p*ssy that exists in combat sports. He’s put on an act and a con artist. He’s a con artist and he’s conned all these idiot fans.”
