Cris Cyborg Ready for Superfight with Amanda Nunes
It appears that the UFC Featherweight champion, Cris Cyborg has changed her mind! Originally, she was stating that for her next fight she would like to defend against a fighter that has been competing and winning at Featherweight lately. She has now said that she is ready for the UFC Bantamweight champion, Amanda Nunes next rather than waiting until after the title defense against a Featherweight that she was asking for.

July 7 #ufc224 let’s make it easy for @Mickmaynard2 @ufc

Ansaroff: Not trying to start anything here. When everyone comes to an agreement it will be a great fight!

135 lb champ, Amanda Nunes has already said that she is open to the step up in weight class to challenge Cyborg and UFC president, Dana White has also expressed his interest. The most interesting thing about Cyborg’s new agreement is the timing of the fight. Will that be too far out for the UFC to book right now? 2018 has just begun and July is a rather large stretch. Especially so for Nunes who hasn’t fought since September.
Nunes was rumored to be taking on Raquel Pennington at UFC 219 but that bout was just under discussion and apparently, contracts were offered but Pennington got injured and broke her leg before either could sign. Thus keeping Nunes out of action since UFC 215 in September.
Will this champion vs champion bout happen when Cyborg wants it to? Will it happen at all?
