‘King of Instagram’ Dan Bilzerian interested in taking an MMA fight

Dan Bilzerian – a musclebound, bearded playboy who seems to spend most of his time in luxury cars surrounded by half-naked women – is interested in participating in an MMA fight. The so-called ‘King of Instagram,’ who is also a star poker player and multi-millionaire, discussed this desire on a recent episode of MMA Junkie Radio.

The topic came up when Bilzerian was asked what goals remain for his action-packed life.

“Thailand’s on there,” the social media star said. “I want to go surfing in Fiji. I want to go heli-skiing in Alaska. I have wanted to do [an MMA fight]. I’ll be 37 this year, so I better do it pretty (expletive) soon if I want to do it. It’s tough nowadays because these (expletive) kids are training from the time they’re 6 or 8 – by the time they get in there, they’re so well-versed.”

Given that Bilzerian is 36 years old, and that he’s experienced multiple heart attacks in the past, this initially seems like a pretty risky idea. He does, however, train regularly at Xtreme Couture, and as one look at his Instagram reveals, keeps himself in tremendous shape.

Furthermore, Bilzerian explained that he’s not interested in half-assing any foray into the world of MMA. If he signs on for a fight, he plans to take the commitment seriously.

“I’d like to compete, but I’ve got to do a real camp,” he said. “I don’t want to go in there and (expletive) half-ass it. I’ve never half-assed anything in my life, so if I’m going to do it, I really want to do it. Right now, I’ve actually been taking a little bit of time off from the partying and the crazy (expletive). So it wouldn’t be bad.”
