Former UFC welterweight title contender and current MMA analyst Dan Hardy recently shared his personal Mt. Rushmore of European MMA. Hardy is one of the best European-born-and-trained MMA fighters of all time, and someone who is highly respected in the fight game, so his list is certainly worth taking a closer look at. Dan Hardy has been itching to lace up the gloves again for a long time. Having been released from his UFC contract earlier this year, it looks like ‘the Outlaw’ may be about to get his wish in ONE Championship. Having last competed in MMA in 2012, the 39 year old is looking to make a comeback out in Asia – starting with a caged Muay Thai bout against John Wayne Parr. The Brit says that he and JWP have been exchanging messages and that the fight is ‘verbally agreed.’

Former UFC welterweight Dan Hardy was praised as a “true martial artist” by Kenny Florian ahead of his comeback against John Wayne Parr. Hardy has not fought since September 2012 when he defeated Amir Sadollah in the UFC. Since then, the Brit has dealt with a heart issue that has left him unable to compete for the UFC. However, he has always wanted to make a comeback to combat sports and was recently given his full release by the UFC. Now that he’s a free agent and free to fight anywhere around the world, “The Outlaw” has zeroed in on a potential Muay Thai bout against Parr in ONE Championship. That fight is not yet official, but there appears to be a good chance of it going down, and if that’s the case, Hardy’s friend Florian will be watching.

Former UFC welterweight contender-turned-analyst Dan Hardy believes that Conor McGregor has “at least four or five more fights” left in him. McGregor suffered a broken leg in his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 last month. He is expected to be out of action for the better part of a year, and considering how much money he already has, there have been plenty of suggestions that this could be it for McGregor in combat sports. However, if you ask Hardy, McGregor will fight again.

We found out last week that UFC president Dana White shut down GSP vs. de la Hoya after not taking phone calls from Triller executive Ryan Kavanaugh. GSP himself confirmed that the fight was blocked and that he was upset because he wanted to have a fun fight with one of his idols in de la Hoya and then give most of the money to charity. But White refused to let St-Pierre out of his UFC contract to join the Triller Fight Club promotion.

Former UFC welterweight title contender Dan Hardy said he wants to return to the Octagon, and now Matt Brown has volunteered his services. Hardy hasn’t fought since a unanimous decision win over Amir Sadollah at UFC Nottingham in September 2012, the same night Stipe Miocic was knocked out by Stefan Struve. Hardy was supposed to fight Brown at UFC on FOX 7 in April 2013, but he was forced out of the fights by doctors due to Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome (WPWS) and he has not fought since then. However, Hardy has continued to train, and now that his condition is improved, he has been teasing a return to the Octagon. His goal is to fight again sometime in 2021.
