Damon Jackson thinks his bout with Dan Ige at UFC Vegas 67 will be the "Fight of the Year”

Damon Jackson is excited to throw down with Dan Ige at UFC Vegas 67. After Jackson scored a first-round knockout over Pat Sabatini, the hope was to get a top-15 guy. The Fortis MMA product says he messaged several fighters including Ige to ask for the fight and the Hawaiian was one of the only fighters to message back and show interest in the fight.

A featherweight banger has been added to UFC 269 as Josh Emmett will return to the Octagon against Dan Ige. Multiple sources informed BJPENN.com that Emmett and Ige have been agreed to for UFC 269 on December 11 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event of the card will see Charles Oliveira defending his lightweight title against Dustin Poirier. Amanda Nunes also defends her bantamweight title against Julianna Pena in the co-main.

UFC featherweight contender The Korean Zombie admitted his win over Dan Ige at UFC Vegas 29 felt “weird” because he didn’t get a bonus award. The Korean Zombie won a unanimous decision over Ige in the main event of Saturday’s UFC Vegas 29 card. For the Zombie, this was his seventh win in the UFC, but it was the first victory he’s had inside the Octagon where he didn’t win a post-fight bonus award. The Zombie is 7-3 overall in the UFC and previously won bonus awards in all six of his wins before this fight with Ige. This was his first decision win in the UFC and the first time that the South Korean native wasn’t given a post-fight bonus for his victory from the UFC.

UFC featherweight Dan Ige issued a statement following his loss to The Korean Zombie at UFC Vegas 29, saying that “I’ll be back.” Ige was able to make it the full 25 minutes with The Korean Zombie, but he was outstruck and outwrestled for the majority of the fight and lost a unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards at the end of the five rounds. Following the fight, Ige took to his social media where he issued a statement assuring his fans that he’s doing fine and that he’ll be back.
