The long wait for Conor McGregor’s return to the Octagon continues. McGregor hasn’t had a pro MMA fight since 2021. While he was scheduled to face Michael Chandler earlier this year, the “Notorious” one pulled out due to an injury. Chandler went on to face Charles Oliveira in a losing effort at UFC 309 in Madison Square Garden.

UFC CEO Dana White sees a way where Jon Jones does fight Alex Pereira. Jones is set to defend his heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 309 on Saturday against Stipe Miocic. It’s an intriguing matchup and should Jones win, he has made it clear he will fight Pereira next or retire.

More specifically, people have been wondering what changes could and should be made to the ones used in the UFC. After a lot of deliberation, the company announced not so long ago that they’d be switching things up to a new design. One of the big reasons they did so was to try and prevent eye pokes, which is a common issue in the sport.

Dana White says he’s concerned for Mike Tyson and his health. Tyson is 58 years old and set to box Jake Paul on Friday night live on Netflix. It’s a highly-anticipated fight but White says he is just hoping Tyson can leave the fight healthy as he doesn’t think a 58-year-old should be boxing.

UFC CEO Dana White says Conor McGregor’s planned return to the Octagon has been delayed once again after a three-plus-year hiatus from fighting. McGregor, who was supposed to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303, hasn’t competed in the cage since injuring his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. It was a lengthy recovery process, and further complicated when he injured one of his toes on the same leg leading up to UFC 303.

Jones will defend the UFC heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 on Saturday in New York. He returns to the Octagon almost two years after submitting Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 to win the then-vacant belt.

White has made the claim at numerous press conferences and even got mad when people questioned if ‘Bones’ should still be considered the top pound-for-pound fighter due to his inactivity.

In the main event, featherweight champion Ilia Topuria will look to make his first title defense against Max Holloway. ‘Blessed’ earned the title opportunity with a knockout win over Justin Gaethje in April.
