Dana White is commenting on the split decision ruling in Saturday’s UFC San Antonio main event.

UFC San Antonio saw Cory Sandhagen (16-4 MMA) defeat Marlon Vera (20-8 MMA) via split decision in the bantamweight main event.

Several fans believed that Sandhagen should have been awarded a unanimous decision victory over Vera.

Sandhagen, 30, now has 2 victories in his last 2 fights in the Octagon. Vera, 30, had four consecutive wins in the cage prior to his loss Saturday night.

Speaking at the post-fight press conference, the UFC President had this to say about the main event verdict:

“I was literally coming out of the bathroom and I was like, ‘What the f**k?’ Were you surprised? It could have been 5-0, it could have been (4-1), but split? Wow, that’s pretty scary.”

Continuing, Dana White spoke highly of Cory Sandhagen, saying (h/t MMAFighting):

“(Sandhagen) looked incredible. He shut him down. Incredible footwork. Lateral movement. Takedowns. He had it all.”

“Chito, to me, looked really slow in the (Dominick) Cruz fight right up until he caught him and knocked him out. So I was kind of waiting for that last two rounds and even his corner said to him, ‘You’ve got two rounds to finish this guy. You need to finish this fight.’”

Concluding White said:

“Yeah, well there’s no doubt about it. He looked really good tonight and, obviously, he beat the No. 3 guy in the world. That wasn’t a split decision. Whoever scored that fight a split decision should be — I don’t even know, I’m not even going to go there. He absolutely dominated tonight and put himself in a really good position.”

Were you watching ‘Sandman’ vs ‘Chito’ this past weekend? Do you agree with Dana White that it shouldn’t have been judged as a split decision victory?
