Dana White is still pushing for a “Bones” vs. “Rumble” interim title fight

Following Anthony Johnson’s brutal 13-second knockout victory over Glover Teixeira in the co-main event of UFC 202, many fans and analysts expected that “Rumble’s” next fight would be a title bout against current champ Daniel Cormier.

However, shortly after Johnson’s blistering uppercut victory, UFC president Dana White shocked fans by stating that he liked the idea of a fight between Anthony Johnson and Jon Jones as opposed to a rematch between “Rumble” and “DC”.

Jon Jones is currently awaiting details on his suspension from USADA, this after he failed a UFC 200 drug test for estrogen blockers which resulted in his removal from the historic fight card.

With that said, Dana White seems pretty confident that Jones will be allowed to fight again soon as he told Damon Martin at the UFC on FOX 21 event in Vancouver:
