UFC CEO Dana White says Kamaru Usman, not Georges St-Pierre, is the greatest welterweight of all time.

Usman held the welterweight title from 2019 until 2022 and defended the belt five times. He was a dominant champion, but still, most fans think St-Pierre is the greatest welterweight of all time due to his longevity as champion.

However, speaking on the Pound 4 Pound podcast, Dana White made it clear that he thinks Kamaru Usman is the welterweight GOAT and doesn’t think it is a conversation.

“When you become a f*****g world champion in the UFC, you went through death f*****g row of the baddest motherf*****s that you could possibly fight. When you talk about a Kamaru Usman, who went through (the division) twice. You might not like Kamaru, you might not like whatever you might not like about it but you can’t deny that he is the greatest welterweight of all time. You can’t deny it, you cannot, don’t like Kamaru all you want, whatever you don’t like about him, that’s your f*****g deal, you can’t deny it,” White said.

There’s no question Kamaru Usman is in the conversation to be the welterweight GOAT, but St-Pierre did defend his title nine times. But, White thinks Usman’s strength of completion is higher than what St-Pierre had, which is why he believes that ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ is the welterweight GOAT.

Kamaru Usman is currently 20-4 as a pro but is on a three-fight losing skid. He last fought back in October when he suffered a majority decision loss to Khamzat Chimaev in his middleweight debut. Before that, he dropped a majority decision to Leon Edwards after suffering a stunning KO loss to the Brit to lose his welterweight title.

In his career, Usman holds notable wins over Colby Covington, twice, Jorge Masvidal, twice, Tyron Woodley, Gilbert Burns, Rafael dos Anjos, and Demian Maia among others.
