Since that switch kick landed, the masses have been heaping praise onto the Brazilian’s shoulders – and rightfully so.

UFC boss Dana White is none too pleased with Kelvin Gastelum for struggling to make contracted weight yet again. There was some controversy going into Gastelum’s fight with Daniel Rodriguez. The fight was initially scheduled to be contested at 170 pounds. Plans changed just before fight night, as Gastelum knew he wouldn’t be able to hit the welterweight limit. Both men agreed to fight at middleweight, but Rodriguez wasn’t happy about the circumstances.

Whittaker flashed in the UFC’s debut in Saudi Arabia, knocking out Ikram Aliskerov in the first round. After rocking Aliskerov, the former UFC middleweight champion landed a clean uppercut and some follow-up punches to seal the deal. With the victory, Whittaker has ended the seven-fight winning streak of Aliskerov.

In the early 2000s, an HBO documentary followed the heavyweight’s rise, and then brutal decline in the sport.

According to Dana White, UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones could be back as soon as this summer. ‘Bones’ hasn’t competed in well over a year. Last March at UFC 285, Jon Jones ended a lengthy hiatus by moving up to heavyweight to face Ciryl Gane. Fighting for the title that Francis Ngannou left vacant, he needed only one round to dispatch of ‘Bon Gamin’. Jones earned a first-round submission victory to win the gold.

Following a knockout victory over Tony Ferguson in May 2022, Michael Chandler took to the live mic with a passionate callout of Conor McGregor. After a loss to Dustin Poirier later in the year, the Bellator champion got the news he was waiting for.

On top of that, the UFC brass needed to replace a “violently ill” Khamzat Chimaev for the UFC Saudi Arabia card. Taking his place will be Ikram Aliskerov, who will be taking on Robert Whittaker at the June 22nd event.

UFC CEO Dana White has announced the new look UFC 303 fight card for International Fight Week on June 29, which sees Alex Pereira taking on Jiri Prochazka for the light heavyweight title. UFC 303 was scheduled to be headlined by Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler. However, that fight is off and now the new main event of the pay-per-view card will be Alex Pereira defending his light heavyweight title against Jiri Prochazka, White announced on social media.

Chimaev was set to headline next Saturday’s card against Whittaker in a potential title eliminator bout at middleweight. It was a fight many fans were looking forward to, but on Thursday, it was revealed that Chimaev was out of the scrap and Ikram Aliskerov would be serve as his replacement.

Dominick Reyes has revealed that he was given a bonus for his UFC Louisville win after all. ‘The Devastator’ returned to the octagon on Saturday night, in the co-main event of the UFC’s trip to Kentucky. There, Dominick Reyes competed for the first time since a knockout loss to Ryan Spann in November 2022. That defeat to ‘Superman’ was his fourth in a row, previously losing to the likes of Jon Jones, Jan Blachowicz, and Jiri Prochazka.
