Jon Jones has no love for Dana White: "I haven’t answered any of his calls"
Tom Taylor - July 27, 2017
This weekend, in the main event of UFC 214, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will attempt to reclaim his title from the current champion and his arch rival Daniel Cormier. In the buildup to this fight, much has been made of Jones’ last-minute withdrawal from July 2016’s UFC 200, when he was last scheduled to meet Cormier. UFC President Dana White in particular has had plenty to say about the former champ’s withdrawal from the card. And apparently, Jones is getting tired of it. Speaking with Lance Pugmire of the LA Times, Jones explained that he is giving the UFC boss the silent treatment.
Dana White threatens "whole other ball game" if Jon Jones fails to show up for UFC 214
Tom Taylor - July 26, 2017
Last year, former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was pencilled in for a comeback fight opposite reigning champ and heated rival Daniel Cormier. Jones’ big-ticket comeback was expected to occur in the main event of UFC 200, which served as the crescendo of 2016’s International Fight Week in Las Vegas. Regrettably, Jones failed a drug test in the lead-up to this event, which meant that his main event battle with Cormier was scrapped at the last minute. In the wake of this biblical disaster, UFC President Dana White assured he would never trust Jon Jones to headlined a UFC card again.
Dana White on questionable May-Mac trash talk: I don't know if you can cross a line
Tom Taylor - July 16, 2017
Over the course of their four-day, four-city press tour, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor generated countless headlines. Unfortunately, a great many of those headlines were rooted in the controversial comments they made to one another, as McGregor was criticized for comments that were perceived as racist, and Mayweather found himself under fire for homophobic comments. Yet according to UFC President Dana White, who was on site during these press events, it’s possible that no lines were crossed. “What’s going on here is as much of a fight as the fight itself,” White told MMAjunkie prior to to the final press event in London. “Mayweather has yet to meet his match physically, or verbally, in these type of situations – until now. These guys are two of the best to ever do it. To say you cross a line leading up to a fight? They’re going to try to knock each other unconscious in about a month and a half. So, I don’t know if you can actually cross a line in this business.”

bjpenndotcom - July 13, 2017
Throughout the course of the first two stops on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor world tour, UFC President Dana White has been the man in the middle when Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor have come face to face for staredowns. Dana White not so confident on whether Conor McGregor will fight again after Mayweather bout
Russell Ess - July 12, 2017
Conor McGregor is already one of the highest-paid stars fighting in the UFC and could potentially make more in this single boxing match against Floyd Mayweather than he has in his entire mixed martial arts career. UFC President Dana White stated early on when negotiations were still going on that he estimated with his predicted numbers on how the fight sells, “The Notorious” would likely make around $75 million and Mayweather would make over $100. McGregor believes he will make over $100 million given that White’s estimates were based on conservative numbers for how the fight sells and didn’t include endorsements and his other business ventures that are tied to the mega money boxing match.

But everybody and their mother is looking for a ticket.”

Dana White on Travis Browne: "I think that Travis should retire"
Tom Taylor - July 9, 2017
Last night, on the final fight of the UFC 213 undercard, Travis Browne attempted to correct a three-fight losing streak against the dangerous Alexey Oleinik. Though Browne had a few moments of success early on, this fight ultimately turned out disastrously for him, as he was stopped by a second-round rear-naked choke. With this outcome, Browne falls onto a four-fight skid, having recently been defeated by Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum, Derrick Lewis and Oleinik. This unfortunate skid has led many fans and pundits to speculate that it might be time for the towering Hawaiian heavyweight to hang up the gloves.

Dana White doesn't think Nick Diaz will ever fight again
bjpenndotcom - June 29, 2017
MMA veteran Nick Diaz has remained one of the most popular fighters in MMA despite the fact that he hasn’t fought in nearly three years. After his dominant run in Strikeforce, Diaz signed with the UFC and made his debut in 2011, when he defeated BJ Penn via unanimous decision. Diaz then dropped his next two fights, an interim welterweight scrap with Carlos Condit, and a unanimous decision to Georges St-Pierre for the welterweight title. In his most recent fight, Diaz stepped into the Octagon against Anderson Silva in a highly anticipated showdown which was eventually deemed a ‘no contest’ as a result of drug testing failures for both men. As it turns out, UFC President Dana White believes that very well may have been Diaz’ last fight. He spoke to MMAJunkie:

While the majority of the combat sports community was thrilled to hear that a boxing match between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather had been finalized for August 26th, Oscar De La Hoya was not. While De La Hoya wrote a lengthy letter in an attempt to prevent the fight from ever happening, he has now shifted gears and is expressing his frustration with UFC President Dana White for booking the McGregor-Mayweather fight just weeks before Golden Boy Promotions has their middleweight title fight between Canelo Alvarez and GGG at the same arena as McGregor vs. Mayweather.
