PHOTO | Dana White takes a short shot at Floyd Mayweather on social media
UFC President Dana White and undefeated, retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather have had quite a long history together.
Before White built up the UFC to be the massive success that it is today, he was running around in the boxing world and was even in Mayweather’s circle at one point.
Mayweather said in an interview earlier this year with Fight Hype that once upon a time, White used to help carry his bags and he supported White by promoting his old brand on his fight shorts.
“Dana White – I like Dana White, I don’t have anything against him – but I can remember Dana White used to hang around me and Jeff Mayweather and carry my bags,” Mayweather said.
“Dana White, I remember when you used to carry my bags. And remember, Dana White, I showed you love. You had the little Bullenbeisser [White’s former apparel company] patch I wore on my trunks for you, Dana. I’ve always been good to you. But then all of the sudden he cut his head bald and he’s such a tough guy. He’s such a tough guy.”
Some of their more recent interactions through the media have been regarding the much talked about boxing match between Mayweather and Conor McGregor. White gave a real offer for Mayweather to fight McGregor, which guaranteed him $25 million with a split of pay-per-view buys to be negotiated, which Floyd laughed at.
Recently, White took to Instagram to take a little shot at Mayweather. The UFC President posted a photo with George Bell, who once held the record for the tallest living man in the US, standing at 7 feet 8 inches.
White, who was obviously outsized by Bell captioned his post, “This guy makes me look like @floydmayweather 😜”
