Daniel Cormier invites Ovince Saint Preux to train and then discredits him as an easy opponent

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier shocked a lot of people when he offered to help train Ovince Saint Preux in his interim light heavyweight championship fight against former champion Jon Jones at UFC 197.

Saint Preux, who serves as a replacement for an injured Cormier politely declined the champ’s offer saying, “Definitely appreciate the invitation, but I think with everything we’ve got going on over here… My coach came up with a solid game plan and I think we definitely gonna be okay.”

Although very respectful, “OSP’s” response may have upset Cormier a bit. Apparently, Cormier thinks that Saint Preux isn’t much of a threat and would fight him with just one day’s notice and also feels Jones would have pulled out of the fight if it was against a fighter of a different caliber.

Cormier tweeted in the middle of a back-and-forth twitter battle with Jones and fans, “O my god jones is cool he took late notice fight, yea I’d fight osp too. I’d do it on 1 day notice. Harder fight you’d tuck ur tail again.”

Is Daniel Cormier right? Or is Ovince Saint Preux a bigger threat than Cormier thinks?
