Daniel Cormier on Jon Jones rivalry: “I would not change a thing”
While Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier’s rivalry is certainly alive and well ahead of their UFC 200 rematch on July 9th, both men have toned down the trash talk to an extent. This week Jones even went as far as to call his rivalry with Cormier “childish”.
During the UFC 200 media call, Cormier was asked if he regretted anything in regards to his rivalry with Jones, to which he responded:
“I don’t regret it. I would not change a thing. I will still do the things I always do.”
Cormier was also asked about his rematch with Jones, and why he believes their rematch will be different:
“Yeah, I do believe the changes in him will affect the outcome of the fight,” Cormier said.
“But I also believe the strongest indicator will be that I’ve gotten better. I’ve done things to improve myself. So even if he’s 10 times better than he was last January, I don’t believe that’s going to be enough to beat me on July 9.”
