Daniel Cormier picks up restaurant bill for woman battling stage four cancer

Current UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier (22-1 MMA) has long been considered one of the “good guys” in the sport of mixed martial arts.

Although he is known for busting heads inside of the octagon, “DC” is one of the kindest human beings outside of the cage.

So it came as little surprise when TMZ Sports reported that the current “Baddest Man On The Planet” had picked up a $300 restaurant bill for a woman battling stage four cancer.

According to the report, Pete Guzman and his mom, Rosario, were eating dinner at Sapporo Japanese restaurant in Monterey, California on Thursday when in walks his favorite MMA fighter, Daniel Cormier.

Cormier was with his own family but still made time to chit chat and takes photos with Pete and Rosario at the hibachi table. Once Cormier found out it was Rosario’s birthday, well the champ and his family decided they had to sing her “Happy Birthday”.

When it was time to go, Rosario was told that her bill had been covered by the “Baddest Man On The Planet” Daniel Cormier.

“My mom was loving every second of it!” Pete told TMZ Sports.

Pete then revealed that Daniel Cormier actually had no clue that his mother, Rosario, was battling stage four cancer. Meaning “DC” was doing all of this just because they were fans.

Amazing stuff!

Daniel Cormier was last seen in action in the main event of UFC 230 this past November where he defeated Derrick Lewis via second-round submission.

The now former “champ champ”, Cormier, has been chomping at the bit for a fight with former division title holder Brock Lesnar.

However, if a bout with “The Beast” fails to come to fruition, Cormier recently stated that he would be willing to grant Stipe Miocic a future rematch.
