Daniel Cormier roasts analyst Brian Stann for picking Jon Jones to win their championship bout
MMA media members are having a tough time with facing the consequences of simply doing their job and picking who they think will win the big matches in the UFC when the question comes up.
Recently, Jon Anik who is a UFC commentator and familiar face to the promotion made a lot of noise when he picked Conor McGregor to win the main event at UFC 196 against Nate Diaz. Anik went and said that if Diaz won, he would get a “209” tattoo, which is Diaz’s hometown area code. Diaz was not happy about Anik’s pick and comment and made sure to remind Anik of his promise after Diaz was able to submit McGregor in the second round of their bout.
Current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier looks like he was not happy with UFC analyst Brian Stann and his pick for Jon Jones to win the championship rematch between the two rivals. Cormier and Stann work together as UFC analysts and Stann was simply giving his honest pick and likely not intentionally throwing an insult at Cormier.
Cormier being a proud competitive athlete took to Instagram to see if a curse from Stann will end up helping in his bout with Jones.
Cormier posted a photo of Stann’s recent picks, which apparently ended up with all his predicted winners actually losing. “@brianstann picks here lately!
