VIDEO | Demetrious Johnson explains how he would try to beat Brock Lesnar in a fight

By Russell Ess - October 19, 2017

Demetrious Johnson is coming off a historic win with his 11th consecutive title defense. In doing so, “Mighty Mouse” surpassed Anderson Silva’s record for the most consecutive title defenses and could continue to add to it still being the active UFC flyweight champion.

Not only did Johnson pull off the win and set the new record at UFC 216, but “Mighty Mouse” did it with pizzazz by pulling off a finishing move that many have never seen before. Johnson used a suplex to armbar sequence in the fifth round that had everyone in awe.

Coming off the historic win, Johnson recently spoke with TMZ and the guys touted “Mighty Mouse” for his exceptional skill level and asked how he would do in the Octagon against former UFC heavyweight champion and WWE star Brock Lesnar.

“Obviously size is going to be a huge factor but his skill is nowhere near my level. So, I’m going to be blasting him in the liver. Liver kicks all day,” said Johnson. “Just blast kicks, blast kicks, blast kicks, and hopefully one of those liver shots puts him down man.”

Johnson was asked if he really thinks he could take out a big opponent such as Lesnar or Daniel Cormier with a good shot to the liver and “Mighty Mouse” explained to the guys from TMZ what happens when you land in the right spot.

“Well it’s a liver shot,” said Johnson. “I mean, if you hit anybody in their liver, in the right spot or you hit them in the liver, they’re going to go down regardless. I mean the liver ceases and it just shuts the body down. Then I’d jump on Brock’s back and choke him out.”

Although a UFC fight with Demetrious Johnson vs Brock Lesnar seems impossible with the weight differences, this matchup could make for some good entertainment in the WWE.
