Derek Brunson blasts fellow middleweights, calls for title fight with Rockhold
Derek Brunson (15-3 MMA) is the latest middleweight to offer his services for the vacant UFC 199 slot opposite current UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold.
The rising 185-pound contender is currently riding a four-fight win streak, which includes first-round knockout victories over Ed Herman, Sam Alvey and most recently Roan Carneiro.
Brunson took to Twitter where he asked UFC president Dana White for the short-notice title fight against Rockhold:

Brunson is currently scheduled to fight Gegard Mousasi at UFC 200 this July in Las Vegas.
So far, the following four middleweights have offered to step up and take the short-notice fight at UFC 199:
1. Michael Bisping
2. Uriah Hall
3. Gegard Mousasi
4. Derek Brunson
Top contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza has yet to address the Chris Weidman injury and vacant UFC 199 main event slot with Rockhold.
