UFC announces Roy Nelson vs. Derrick Lewis

Friday evening the UFC announced a fight that guarantees fireworks. On July 7th on UFC Fight Pass, Roy ‘Big Country’ Nelson will fight Derrick ‘The Black Beast’ Lewis.

The event will be headlined by Rafael dos Anjos vs. Eddie Alvarez, and will be an important one for both men as Lewis looks to climb from #13 on the UFC’s heavyweight rankings, and Nelson looks to climb from #10 on the heavyweight rankings.

Lewis will be riding a 3-fight win streak into the bout that most recently saw him KO Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC FN Zagreb. Nelson on the other hand recently snapped a 3 fight losing streak as he defeated Jared Rosholt via unanimous decision.
