Former UFC bantamweight kingpin Dominick Cruz has been forced out of his planned UFC 219 fight with Jimmie Rivera due to a broken arm.
MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani recently broke the news on Twitter.
Dominick Cruz is out of the UFC 219 fight vs. Jimmie Rivera, sources say. Broken arm. TBD at this time what they’ll do with Rivera.

No word yet on how long “The Dominator” will be out of action after suffering a broken arm.
As for Jimmie Rivera, the surging bantamweight contender has won a remarkable twenty straight fights in a row, his latest being a unanuimous decision victory over Thomas Almeida.
The good news is with UFC 219 falling on December 30, the UFC will have plenty of time to source a replacement for Rivera.
Perennial bantawmeight contender Aljamain Sterling has already offered up his services to the promotion.
