The highly active Cerrone is set to take on Patrick Cote in a welterweight bout at UFC Fight Night 89, which takes place in Ottawa, Canada on June 18. For a preview of what Cerrone brings to the Octagon, the UFC released their top-8 Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone moments.
“Cowboy” is coming off a win over Alex Oliveira, which took place at UFC Fight Night 83 in February. Prior to the bout with Oliveira, Cerrone lost a lightweight title bout to the champion Rafael dos Anjos but before the title fight with dos Anjos, Cerrone was on an eight-fight win streak.
Cote is on a three-fight win streak with two of the wins ending by TKO and one going to decision. Cote last fought Ben Saunders at UFC Fight Night 81 in January, winning by TKO in the second round.
