Dustin Poirier has reacted to the news that Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler will serve as opposing coaches on season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter. Earlier this morning, UFC President Dana White took to social media where he announced that McGregor (22-6 MMA) and Chandler (23-8 MMA) have agreed to coach season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter, which begins on Tuesday May 30, 2023.

Having not fought since December, Dos Anjos is interested in new challenges, and one of the possibilities that could make his wish a reality is a matchup with former two-time UFC lightweight title challenger Dustin Poirier. ‘The Diamond’ recently picked up a win at UFC 281 in an instant classic against Michael Chandler in one of the best fights of 2022.

Dustin Poirier has shared the Octagon with both Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler and he’s favoring the Irishman to win if they fight. Ever since Chandler signed with the UFC he has called out McGregor for a fight. It would be a massive bout and one that on paper would be a very entertaining one. Yet, as of right now, it has yet to happen but as both men are without a fight, Dana White has said he thinks that fight is likely to happen.

It was this past New Year’s Eve, when an argument occurred between Dana White and his wife Anne at a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Anne proceeded to hit Dana and he promptly struck her back. A video of the altercation was released by TMZ on January 2nd.

UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier provided concerned fans with an update on his gnarly staph infection he finds himself battling. Poirier was forced to visit the hospital on Sunday after suffering a gruesome staph infection in his left foot. ESPN reported that Poirier’s staph was not reacting to antibiotics, resulting in the American Top Team athlete remaining in the hospital.

It was back in November 2018 at UFC 230 that Dustin Poirier (29-7 MMA) was scheduled to fight Nate Diaz (22-13 MMA) in a co-main event lightweight bout. The fight never happened as Poirier had to withdraw with an undisclosed injury. As it turned out it was a hip injury which sidelined Poirier ahead of UFC 230.

Conor McGregor has reacted to the news that Dustin Poirier is hospitalized with a staph infection. Conor McGregor (22-6 MMA) and Dustin Poirier (29-7 MMA) have a history inside the Octagon. The two fighters battled it out in the cage on three occasions. It was way back in September of 2014 at UFC 178 that the Irishman defeated ‘The Diamond’ via TKO. The two met up again 7 years later, in January of 2021 at UFC 257 where it was Poirier who defeated McGregor via KO. The trilogy fight came just 6 months later where Poirier once again defeated ‘Notorious’ via TKO in round 1.
