Eddie Alvarez and Chad Mendes were both aware that Conor McGregor was in the crowd shouting advice during their BKFC 41 clash. Alvarez and Mendes, both former opponents of McGregor, went one-on-one inside 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado. The well-known MMA veterans were competing under bare knuckle rules. This one had its share of knockdowns, much to the delight of the crowd. The bout went the distance and Alvarez earned the split nod in a barn burner.

BKFC president David Feldman went on The MMA Hour and announced that his promotion has signed former UFC champion Luke Rockhold to fight Mike Perry at 185lbs in the main event. The co-main event sees Chad Mendes take on former UFC lightweight champ, Eddie Alvarez at 165lbs. The fight card is set to go down on April 29 in Denver, Colorado.

Screenshots were shared online that suggested the ‘LK’ ingests a large amount of performance-enhancing drugs to get his uber-jacked physique.

Makhachev is clearly one of the best lightweight fighters in the world, and he is hoping to get the next title shot at 155lbs against the winner of UFC 269’s Charles Oliveira vs. Dustin Poirier main event. However, after Gaethje defeated Michael Chandler at UFC 268 in a “Fight of the Year” candidate last weekend, there seems to be more support for Gaethje getting the next title shot. McGregor and Poirier square off next Saturday night in the main event of UFC 264, which takes place on July 10 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ahead of next weekend’s blockbuster pay-per-view card, Alvarez was asked who he thinks will win this megafight between two of his former rivals. Alvarez, of course, fought Poirier twice in the UFC and McGregor once, so he knows these two as well as anyone. Speaking to Helen Yee, “The Underground King” shared his prediction for the upcoming McGregor vs. Poirier trilogy.

Eddie Alvarez was “surprised” Dustin Poirier knocked out Conor McGregor at UFC 257, but says that “The Diamond” deserves all of his success. Poirier and McGregor met earlier this year on Fight Island in the rematch between the two longtime rivals. After their first meeting in September 2014 ended with McGregor knocking Poirier out in the first round, many fans thought that the Irishman would get the job done again in the rematch. However, Poirier pulled off the upset when he was able to knock McGregor out in the second round with punches. The two will now meet at UFC 264 this summer in Las Vegas in what is one of the biggest trilogies the UFC has ever put on.
