It’s our first week here at BJPenn.com and we have a stacked guest for the first show. FIST-ta-CUFF Radio has been in the MMA game for a little over 4 years and as you can see 171 Shows. We pride ourselves on the type of interview you the listener gets while tuning into our show. You will hear us refer to the show as the barber shop numerous times, that’s because we believe the show has a barber shop type feel. We hope all you BJPenn.com subscribers and visitors are ready for a fan experience you won’t get anywhere else. Show 171 is set to kick off Sunday January 6th, at 7:30 PM PST/ 10:30 PM EST.

Our first guest is back in the win column and ready to get back in the cage and he has called out Michael Bisbing and Mark Munoz after his 1st round KO of Rousimar Palhares. Yep we got Hector Lombard to kick things off for the debut show. Hector is known for his time inside the Bellator Cage where he added plenty of wins to his record and film to his highlight reel. Did you know that during that time he was also defending and winning other titles while remaining the champ of Bellator. We will of course talk to Hector about his time inside the UFC, calling out Mark Munoz and Michael Bisbing, and how he feels he would do against Anderson Silva. Before his debut Hector had one of the most amazing winning streaks in the sport with a consecutive win streak of 25 figths, did I mention that the man’s record is 32-3-1. We will talk about the pressure that Hector had on him coming into his UFC debut against Tim Boetsch, the injury he sustained before the fight, and if he feels that he is currently in the top ten in the world. Hold on to your seats cause the opening of the show could have some very heavy leather thrown and make sure to follow Hector on twitter @HectorLombard

When you hear the name Couture your first thought is to think of the UFC Champion and UFC hall of famer, but our second guest is doing a great job to let you know that the family name doesn’t stop with the man who retired. Ryan Couture is back in the shop and the member of Team Handsome is ready to pick up the biggest win of his career as he steps into the Strikeforce cage January 12, 2013 to take on KJ Noons. Ryan has had the type of career where he has been the underdog in his last few fights and he has also been the man who doesn’t let that bother him one bit. Ryan is on a three fight win streak with wins over Conor Heun and Joe Duarte. We will talk to Ryan about how bitter sweet it is to be stepping into the Strikeforce cage for the last time, having grown up as a pro under the Strikeforce name and how he feels about the company being dissolved into the UFC, and if he is ready to make the jump into the UFC where fans will get to hear the name Couture again over the speakers. We will talk with Ryan about how he stacks up against KJ Noons, how Ryan feels he stacks up against the rest of the UFC, and of course how special it has to be to be a second generation fighter inside the worlds biggest promotion. Make sure to follow Ryan on twitter @RyanDCouture

To kick off the second hour we had to bring on a legend in the sport, this man isn’t a legend for throwing punches but more of a legend for making sure you can throw one and taking away the effects after you have eaten a few. Our close friend Jacob Duran, better known to fight fans as Stitch is back in the shop. It’s been a minute since Stitch was up in the building so you know the conversation is about to get heavy. Stitch has one of the most amazing stories in the sport from his time in the Fields of California as a child to his journey all the way to the Garden (Madison Square Gardens) that is. We will talk to Stitch about his current schedule from working the UFC, local Vegas promotions, his time with the Klitschko brothers, acting, and even releasing his own line of Cutman products. Stitch is one of the hardest working men in the sport and also one of the biggest personalities. We will discuss with Stitch his thoughts on Strikeforce closing down, who he worked with in the last Heavyweight fight (Cain or JDS), his current projects, and how he finds time to do all the things he does. Get ready cause Stitch is one of those guys that always is. Follow Stitch on twitter @StitchDuran

Our next guest is Chad George, if that name doesn’t ring bells for you stop what you are doing and get over to NetFlix and watch Occupation: Fighter. The Documentary follows Chad for eight months and really shows you an inside look at the life of a fighter. Chad is a man who leaves it all in the cage when the bell rings and works even harder on the outside. Chad has fought for the WEC, Bamma USA, Tachi Palace, and quite a few other promotions. We will talk to Chad about how the documentary came to be, his thoughts when he sat down and watched it for the first time, his time in the sport, and what 2013 holds for him inside the cage and outside the cage. Chad has been getting a lot of press since the release of the documentary and I cna’t wait to talk to him about his own expectations on the film and if he ever thought it would blow up the way that it has. As with any film I am sure that things didn’t make the final cut and we will talk to Chad about how it was having a camera follow him for eight months. Follow Chad on twitter @Savage135 and feel free to call in with any questions as phone lines will be open the whole show.

The show starts at 7:30 PM PST 10:30 PM EST and Phone lines are open all show 646-915-9927 and we love to have listeners voice your thoughts and get in your questions.
