Colby Covington trashes Magny and RDA: They wouldn’t fight me if I went up and b*tch-slapped them in front of their girl

Over the last few months, Colby Covington and his friend and training partner Jorge Masvidal have made repeated callouts of fellow welterweight contenders Rafael Dos Anjos and Neil Magny. Unfortunately, Magny and Dos Anjos didn’t oblige those callouts. So, you can imagine Covington and Masvidal’s frustration when a Magny and Dos Anjos were booked to fight each other at UFC 216.

On the latest edition of BJ Penn Radio, Covington went off on Magny and Dos Anjos in a scathing rant. Check out what he had to say below:

“When I saw Magny and RDA signed the contract, it just sort of reiterated what we’ve been saying the whole time, how much of cowards they are,” Covington said. “They wouldn’t fight me if I went up and bitch slapped them in front of their girl and their whole families. That’s how fucking scared they are.”

“Magny was healthy and he could have fought, but he was playing that card like, ‘oh I need some more time to get healthy.’ And RDA was playing that card ‘Oh I’m injured, this and that, I can’t do it.’ But then all of the sudden they both get booked. That’s real bizarre and real strange. They’re both shady dudes, you know? They say one thing to the media, that they’ll do this and that, but when it comes down to them, and the UFC offers them this and that, they want to act like cherry pickers and they want to pick the easiest fights possible to navigate themselves to a title shot. At the end of the day, it’s not going to matter. Me and Jorge are here now, and nobody’s getting passed me and Jorge. I can tell you that.”
