At UFC 225, which goes down on June 9 in Chicago, Illinois, Colby Covington will step into the Octagon to battle former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos for the interim welterweight belt.

This bout stands out as the biggest and most meaningful of Covington’s career thus far. As such, he’s taking his preparations for it very seriously. In particular, Covington is focused on his stamina, as this bout with dos Anjos could run a full five rounds if a finish doesn’t materialize.

Speaking on the latest stacked episode of BJ Penn Radio, Covington detailed his efforts to strengthen his cardio. Apparently, much of his cardio training has been going down in the bedroom.

“It is the best training camp I’ve ever had,” Covington said on BJ Penn Radio. “I’ve been really just working on my stamina, my cardio. It’s a five round fight, so I’ve been making sure I have a different chick for every night of the week. I gotta put in them cardio rounds in the bedroom. This is a lifestyle, baby. This is the year of ‘Chaos’, and it never stops, man. I’m just getting warmed up on all these nerds out here. People think they hate me now, just wait ’til I get the belt. They’re gonna hate me even worse. It’s gonna be a snowflake Armageddon.”

Covington then addressed his haters, and suggested they try mimicking this cardio regimen.

“My haters are all virgins, man,” he said. “All you haters out there, go get laid. It’ll change your fucking life, dude. Stop hating on me, and go do something productive with your life like make some money or go get laid with a hot bitch or something.”

Do you think Colby Covington will take at Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 225 and capture UFC interim welterweight gold?
