Former UFC featherweight title challenger Chan Sung Jung is quickly closing in on the end of the two years of mandatory military service he was required to serve as a citizen of South Korea. Jung was most recently seen in action at UFC 163 in May of 2012, where he suffered a fourth-round TKO loss to Jose Aldo in his bid for the featherweight title. Prior to the setback, the Korean standout had scored three-straight stoppage wins in a row which included victories over Dustin Poirier, Mark Hominick and Leonard Garcia.

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley joined host Chris Taylor on BJPENN.com’s Rapid Fire segment where he discussed his UFC 205 “fight of the night” title bout with Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson. The epic five-round war between ‘T-Wood’ and ‘Wonderboy’ was declared a 47-47 draw by two of the three judges in attendance, with the third judge awarding ‘T-Wood’ the decision by a score of 48-47.

Following their brief stare-down backstage, the UFC champions decided to trade barbs on Twitter which resulted in McGregor calling “The Chosen One” a “Twitter bitch” while Woodley fired back asking “Mystic Mac” why he was afraid to talk shit in person.

Mixed martial arts veteran Nick Diaz has not fought since January of 2015 where he and Anderson Silva fought in the five-round main event at UFC 183. Silva initially had his hand raised when the judges awarded the former middleweight champion a unanimous decision win but it was later overturned to a no contest after it was revealed that both Silva and Diaz tested positive for banned substances. Silva tested positive for multiple banned substances including steroids while Diaz tested positive for marijuana for the third time in the state of Nevada. Silva and Diaz were both suspended and Diaz’s suspension just ended in August and is eligible to return to competition.

Initially after winning the title over Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 in July, Woodley called for a “money fight” against Nick Diaz to which many criticized the new champion for the move with just winning the belt.
