That same evening at Madison Square Garden, current UFC featherweight title holder Conor McGregor will move up a weight class to challenge current UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez for his 155-pound strap.

The flyweight has had his last three scheduled fights canceled with suffering one injury that forced him to withdraw from a match while the other two were from issues with his opponents not being able to compete. “Uncle Creepy” spoke with BJPenn.com Radio host, “Kinch,” on Wednesday’s episode and spoke about the disappointment of going through three training camps and not being able to even step into the Octagon to fight and how Internet know-it-alls really don’t know much about matchmaking.

UFC President Dana White announced on Wednesday the return of former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Rousey will step back into the Octagon and fight the current champion, Amanda Nunes for the title in December at UFC 207. With Rousey’s return slated for December, it will be just a little over a year since she fought last in the Octagon against Holly Holm at UFC 193 where she was knocked out in the first loss of her professional MMA career.

UFC flyweight Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall is set to return to compete in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast, Ireland on November 19. McCall will face Ireland’s Neil Seery, who will be fighting for the last time with his intent to retire after their competition. McCall will be looking to get out to Belfast and step into the Octagon as his last three scheduled UFC fights were canceled due to an injury he sustained in one matchup while his other two opponents were forced out of competition leaving him hanging just days out from the fight.

A women’s strawweight title fight will take place between two undefeated Polish fighters as champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk looks to defend her title for the fourth consecutive time against fellow undefeated Polish fighter Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Headlining the event, UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor looks to make history by becoming the first UFC fighter to ever hold two UFC division’s championship title simultaneously as he challenges UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez for his lightweight strap. In the co-main event, Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson will also try to make his dream of becoming a UFC champion come true when he takes on the powerful UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley.

Tomorrow night in Manchester, England, MMA veterans Vitor Belfort and Gegard Mousasi will step into the Octagon in the co-main event of UFC 204. Interestingly enough, while this is the first time the pair will step into the cage together, it isn’t the first time they have been booked to fight. Back in 2009, Affliction planned on hosting their third fight card, which was planned to play host to a scrap between Mousasi and Belfort, however the fight card was ultimately cancelled, and the promotion folded.

Tomorrow night in Manchester, England, Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson will square off in a highly anticipated fight for the UFC middleweight championship in a fight that will also serve as Henderson’s last fight before retiring from MMA. Ahead of the fight, the MMA community appears to be torn on their prediction for the scrap. While many believe that Bisping will once again get his hand raised in front of the English fans, others believe that history will repeat itself, and Henderson will once again emerge victorious over Bisping.

Alan Jouban (14-4 MMA) is one of the hottest prospects in the UFC’s stacked welterweight division. “Brahma” has gone 5-2 under the UFC banner and is currently riding a two-fight win streak. The 33-year-old is currently recovering from surgery, this to repair a broken hand suffered in his latest octagon appearance. With that said, Jouban is already planning his UFC return, as he hopes to compete again this December in Sacramento, possibly against veteran Patrick Cote.

Former Strikeforce lightweight champion Josh Thomson was a recent guest on BJPENN.com’s Rapid Fire segment where he discussed a number of different topics including the potential lightweight title fight between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez which is expected to headline UFC 205 in New York this November. Thomson, who is the only fighter to score a TKO victory over Nate Diaz, doesn’t believe that the Irish superstar has earned his shot at the lightweight title, this after scoring a narrow majority decision victory over the Stockton Slugger.

Woodley earned the UFC welterweight title this past July when he scored a first-round knockout victory over former champ Robbie Lawler in the headlining bout of UFC 201 in Atlanta.
