The sport of MMA has plenty of stories to motivate and we have even heard a few of those stories over the years here on FIST-ta-CUFF Radio. However when it comes to the story of Garrett “G-Money” Holeve this is the true story of heart, determination, and a will to never give up. Garrett’s name has been in the news as of recent and ESPN even did a very nice piece, but it wasn’t because Garrett’s size, his future as a legend in the sport, or the fact that he is knocking out opponents, it’s because Garrett defines what it means to be a fighter. Holeve suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis, a painful disease that leads to inflammation of joints and surrounding tissues, but refuses to let that or the fact that he was born with Down’s syndrome, a chromosomal condition from stopping his dream. Garrett has a dream of being a fighter and has already started making that dream a reality. We will talk with Garrett about his love for MMA, teaching children at his branch of ATT, and much more.

Opening up the second hour of show 183 is a woman known as Lights Out and did I mention that she is also a first in the sport with her sister. We have one half of the first set of twins to compete in MMA and it’s Jocelyn Lybarger. We have so much to talk about with Jocelyn; from how her and Jillian got started in the sport, training at the MMA Lab, her upcoming fight for King of the Cage Saturday May 25th, and of course the recent support of Ronda Rousey for both twins to be placed on the upcoming Invicta FC card. Jocelyn is set to try out for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter so you know that we will of course talk her getting ready and the possibility of her and her sister both making the show. The World Series of Fighting held their second show Saturday, March 23rd, at the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. On the card was a wealth of talent from several divisions. In a main card fight, former WSOF welterweight Josh Burkman fought Aaron Simpson in a fight with title implications. Burkman made sure to make this one a one-sided affair and put Simpson away early in the fight with a brutal first round knockout that made the Revel Hotel Ovation Hall share a collective gasp.
