Tyron Woodley says his next fight will be in July

Current UFC welterweight kingpin Tyron Woodley claims he will be returning to the Octagon this July.

“The Chosen One” took to Instagram earlier this morning where he delivered the following message to his fans.

“#TRAININGCAMP Starts #Today The next time I set foot in the #Octagon it will be 4 Title Fights in 12months. Starting with the Spirit, Mind, Soul and the Body will catch up. The fight outside the Cage has always proven to be tougher then the one inside. Time to win on both ends! @ufc #ufc #ChampCamp #AndStill #WhoGotMyBack !”

BJPENN.com’s Chris Taylor reached out to “The Chosen One” shortly following the post and asked him if he had an opponent booked for his July return.

“T-Wood” responded to Taylor with the following message, words of a true champion.

“I’m starting camp and not giving a f**k who the fight is against or what it pays! I am the best! It is time to prove it no matter the pay or what people say!”

The welterweight champion of the world, Tyron Woodley, was most recently seen in action at last month’s UFC 209 event in Las Vegas where he scored a majority decision win over Stephen Thompson, thus retaining his 170-pound strap.

Woodley has gone 4-0-1 over his past five fights, scoring wins over Carlos Condit, Kelvin Gastelum, Robbie Lawler and Stephen Thompson in that time.

In an interview with BJPENN.com earlier this month, Woodley stated that he was targeting UFC 213 on July 8 for his octagon return.
