UFC 238 | Pro fighters make their picks for Henry Cejudo vs. Marlon Moraes

In the main event of UFC 238, the vacant bantamweight title is on this line. Flyweight champion Henry Cejudo is moving up in weight to try and become a two-division champ, while top contender, Marlon Moraes will look to win his first UFC title.

Ahead of the fight, BJPENN.com reached out to several pro fighters to get their predictions for the fight. Some believe Moraes’ explosivenesses will be too much, while others think Cejudo’s wrestling will make the difference.

Kevin Lee, UFC welterweight: I’m thinking Marlon might have a little more firepower especially with his kicks. But, Henry can mix it up and has a lot of experience. If I had to pick I would go with Marlon on his hunger.

Volkan Oezdemir, UFC light heavyweight: I like Moraes, I like his style and how he fights. I think he wins.

Sijara Eubanks, UFC bantamweight: I got to go with my boy Marlon Moraes. Marlon should have gotten his title shot by now.

Beneil Dariush, UFC lightweight: I think Marlon will TKO Cejudo in the 4th round.

Felicia Spencer, UFC featherweight: That is a great question. I think Cejudo, he’s a champ, he knows what it takes to win a belt. So, Cejudo.

Steven Peterson, UFC featherweight: Cejudo by decision. His wrestling and athleticism are on another level. Although Moraes is a straight killer I just don’t see Henry falling for the traps.

Cris Lencioni, Bellator featherweight: Moraes is very explosive. I think Moraes will win.

Patrick Mix, Bellator bantamweight: For my pick in that fight I am going to go with Henry Cejudo. I think he looked really good against T.J. Dillashaw, and before that against Demetrious Johnson. He has a lot of momentum going for him right now. I’m picking him but Moraes is so dangerous. If he catches Henry anything can happen but I’m going with the Olympic gold medalist.

Jeremy Kennedy, PFL featherweight: I think Moraes. He is bigger and has more tools in his toolbox. I think Henry will be a little undersized.

Rakim Cleveland, PFL light heavyweight: Man, I think Henry right now is at the top of his game. Marlon is explosive, but I think Henry will impose his will. He has shown the world he is more than a wrestler. He knocked out TJ and beat Mighty Mouse. I think he will add a new belt. He’s not going to knock Marlon out but he will win on the scorecards.
