UFC 238 | Pro fighters make their picks for Valentina Shevchenko vs. Jessica Eye

In the co-main event of UFC 238, this Saturday, Valentina Shevchenko will look to defend her flyweight title against Jessica Eye.

Ahead of the fight, BJPENN.com reached out to several pro fighters to get their picks for the title fight. In this case, the majority believe Shevchenko wins. But, some believe we will hear ‘And New’ from Bruce Buffer.

BJPENN.com Fighter Picks: Valentina Shevchenko vs. Jessica Eye

Kevin Lee, UFC welterweight: I have to go with Jessica Eye. I think she will come out with a great game plan and she will need it against someone like Valentina. There are no holes in Valentina’s game, she is solid all around the board. She is a killer. It is going to be a hell of a fight, but I think Jessica pulls it off.

Sijara Eubanks, UFC bantamweight: If I have to pick, I think Shevchenko.

Volkan Oezdemir, UFC light heavyweight: Shevchenko seems dominant and I don’t know if anyone will beat her, so Shevchenko will win.

Calvin Kattar: Hard to bet against Shevchenko, so I think she’ll remain the champ.

Tonya Evinger, UFC bantamweight: Man, I think Jessica Eye is in her real weight class, she feels the best. I would like to see her win, but I think Shevchenko will win. She is a stud. Jessica has to fight a really smart fight and not get in a brawl. I want Jessica, but I don’t think it happens. So, Shevchenko.

Steven Peterson, UFC featherweight: Shevchenko is going to finish her in dominant fashion.

Felicia Spencer, UFC featherweight:  I really like both of them and respect them. But, I don’t think you can bet against Shevchenko and I think she gets it done.

Patrick Mix, Bellator bantamweight: I have to go with Valentina. She has just been a beast and a force. I believe her last loss to Amanda Nunes that should have been a win for her. Looking at how close she fought her and how dominant she has been, I think she is going to win. But, that is not taking anything away from Jessica Eye. Nothing but respect for Jessica Eye as well.

Cris Lencioni, Bellator featherweight: I’m going to put my money on Jessica Eye. She knows how to get dirty and that is what you need to do against Shevchenko.

Rakim Cleveland, PFL light heavyweight: Shevchenko all the way. She is too skilled everywhere. Jessica Eye is going to bite down on her mouthguard and has to bring it to her in order to win. But, I think Shevchenko will win.
