Faber Down For McGregor Scrap In Ireland
Urijah Faber and Frankie Edgar are set to clash at “UFC Fight Night 66” in what seems to be a title eliminator for the featherweight championship. If Faber can make it past Edgar and McGregor beats Aldo, Faber mentioned he would love to fight the Irishman in his home country.
“Yeah, there’s been a little stirred up tension about that fight, and I would love to do that,” Faber told the media. “Seems like… I want the fights that are big and have a lot of meaning, so I would love to go over there to Ireland.”
Even though Urijah Faber would love to fight McGregor in Ireland, he doesn’t think Aldo will be losing his belt at UFC 189.
“In my opinion Aldo’s got the more well rounded game, but again, we haven’t seen Conor on the ground too much. We haven’t seen him deal with someone who’s a master kicker, someone that can really hammer kicks and knees and stuff like that, like Aldo can do. I’m going with Aldo.”
What do you think the next UFC Featherweight Championship bout will be after Aldo defends his title against McGregor?
